CEED will bring to Sofia a number of regional entrepreneurs and investors who will provide their practical perspective on what it takes to find capital. You will be able to hear of real stories from successful entrepreneurs from throughout the region who have already “taken their companies to the next level” by working with Venture Capitalists and Private Equity companies. You will hear as well what these investors are looking for.

CEED is taking this one step further however. In our pursuit to catalyze and accelerate the availability of capital, CEED has invited to Sofia Mr. John May, author of “Every Business Needs an Angel.” Mr. May, an entrepreneur himself, is Managing Partner of the New Vantage Group and Chairman of the U.S. Angel Capital Association. He will provide to our audience his unique perspective as to what an “angel” looks for in an entrepreneur and his/her company. He also will work with CEED to help catalyze the formation of the local angel capital networks needed to finance our early stage entrepreneurs and help them convert great ideas into growing companies.

Uniquely, several selected companies will have the opportunity to “make a pitch” and present to the audience. Attending Private Equity Funds, VC and Angel groups will have a chance to participate in the “Investors’ Fair and Poster Board” session where financiers will be able to present their investment goals, terms and services.
